Week 1: Moodboard Mania

Heads up: We’re back with more!

🙋‍♂️ Life Updates

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room.

I took a break from this newsletter. A long one… two years!

You might be wondering, "Why did I sign up for The Creative Mix?" Or maybe, “Why should I stick around?”

The OG subscribers from 2022

I won’t over-promise. Here’s what I can offer: a weekly newsletter delivered straight to your inbox, filled with inspiration to keep you creating, learning, and growing—no fluff, just the good stuff.

What’s my aim?

  • To bring value to your creative journey, every single week.

  • To help you fall in love with the process.

  • To see you thrive in whatever creative path you’re on.

But here’s the catch: I can’t want this more than you do. It takes two to tango. Are you ready?

🎨 The Creative Mix

[01] Cosmos

Cosmos is like the magic wand for colors. Type in any HEX code (ex. #0000FF = Blue) and instantly discover designs in that exact shade - quick and easy.

Designspiration is your color detective. Cosmos on steroids. Instead of searching one color, you can search by an entire color palette. It’s almost too good to be true. A life hack.

[03] Muzli

Self-proclaimed the “Designer’s Secret Source.” A browser plugin that never leaves you with a blank canvas. Curating hundreds of articles from different design publications. A fire hose of inspiration.

Example: My quick search for “poster” had results from Dieline, Abuzeedo, Behance, Dribble, Creative Boom, and Fonts in Use within the first 10 results.

The King. An ever growing and never ending scrapbook (My Pinterest with 1,500+ pins). Using the “Find ideas for this board” is quite literally magic. In a way, it does the work for you, you just need to scroll. I love that. Simple.

🚀 Leadership Lab

Think of leadership like building a house… you need a strong foundation.

John Wooden, the legendary basketball coach, built his “Pyramid of Success” with blocks like hard work, enthusiasm, and friendship. These were the traits he believed made champions.
